From August 19 to 21, 2025, the 2025 Annual Industry Conference of the Colorants Professional Committee of the China Food Additives and Ingredients Association (CFAIA) and the Forum on High-Quality Development of the Colorants Industry were successfully held in Yinchuan, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.

The event was organized by the China Food Additives and Ingredients Association and hosted by Guangzhou Leader Biotechnology Co., Ltd.

More than 200 participants attended the conference, including company executives, R&D managers, regulatory and standards professionals, and experts from research institutes and universities within the food additives, food ingredients, and related industries. Media outlets such as China Food News also covered and interviewed the event.

As the hosting organization, Mr. Tao Zhengguo, Chairman of Guangzhou Leader Biotechnology Co., Ltd., delivered a keynote speech. He noted that Leader has remained committed to the research, development, production, and sales of plant extracts, functional feed additives, and food additives. The company has been recognized as a National High-Tech Enterprise and a National Leading Agricultural Enterprise, and has also been selected as a Key Enterprise in Guangdong Province’s Strategic Emerging Industries, receiving numerous prestigious honors.

Mr. Tao expressed his firm belief that the food additives industry will continue to empower the global food sector by safeguarding food safety, nutritional health, and sensory quality, ultimately achieving a win-win outcome between high-quality industrial development and improved quality of life for consumers. During the conference, more than 20 staff members from Leader’s headquarters and its Ningxia subsidiary provided full support to ensure the smooth operation of the event.

During the conference sessions, industry experts and company representatives engaged in in-depth discussions on various colorant categories, including paprika oleoresin, capsicum oleoresin, lutein, and β-carotene. The meeting also actively promoted the development of two group standards: “Paste Chlorophyll” and “Gardenia Fruit.”

On August 21, Leader organized a cultural tour for more than 150 participants to Shahu Scenic Area and the Western Film Studio in Yinchuan. Shahu, known for its unique combination of desert landscapes, clear waters, reeds, and migratory birds, offered attendees a scenic boat tour across the lake. At the film studio, participants explored retro-themed sets, experiencing the distinctive charm of film culture blended with northwestern Chinese characteristics. The tour provided a relaxing and enriching conclusion following the intensive conference agenda.
